Let Me Grieve

Please let me grieve for my loved one
for the void they left is deep.
The memories of time spent together
are treasures I long to keep.

How I need to grieve for my loved one.
Can I tell you how special they were?
Just listening with grace
as tears cover my face
will surely help my wound to cure.

And as I grieve for my loved one,
I look to my Savior’s pain.
As he hung on a tree
for you and for me;
Our eternal life to gain.

The grief I feel for my loved one
is lessened when I can view
the heavenly home that he has prepared
for me and my dear loved one, too.
