| An Angel Covered My sister was an angel covered. She was covered by the Devil's evil hand. The Devil's cover spoke words of hopelessness, despair, and failure, that her battles were too hard to fight and her past was too hard to overcome. He instilled words of no self worth and no ability to achieve her dreams and goals. The Devil's hand was only a cover for underneath was a magnificent, shining angel who filled the world with her smile and her loving heart. My sister gave me a sense of safety. She was my best friend. Our good times shined through the bad times. No matter the circumstance, place or time I always, always felt her love for me. I admired her beauty. My sister and I knew each other's pain. We suffered from the same problem and longed to overcome it. Being the oldest of us four girls ~ Me, Jeanette and Sara all strived for a piece of her wisdom. She had her own words of advice to share with each one of us. I will miss you, Dora. I feel like a part of me is broken, but I have peace inside knowing that God lifted the Devil's cover to take you with him to a place of no more pain and ongoing battles where you will be with our Daddy and have eternal peace. ~ Elizabeth Egeler |
