The Amazing Broken Heart
At first the broken heart consumes your whole being with fear, anxiety and
loneliness. It’s with you day and night … your first thought in the morning and
your last thought at night. But time passes and you find you can still do many
things with a broken heart.

You can give praises to the Lord for a beautiful sunset; a flower bursting into
bloom or lovely music filling the air ... but your heart is still broken.

You can spend happy times with your family and enjoy the holidays … but your
heart is still broken.

You can call a friend and offer comfort and love. You can chat about what’s new

on TV or at the movies ... but your heart is still broken.

You can go about your daily routine ... washing dishes, cooking, cleaning and
running errands... but your heart is still broken.

You can count your blessings and thank the Lord for all the miracles in your life
... but your heart is still broken.

You can laugh and smile and enjoy the little things in life….but your heart is still
broken.

You can savor your favorite ice cream and ask for more ... .but your heart is still
broken.

You can go on a vacation and visit new places ... but your heart is still broken.

You can volunteer to help others at a hospital or school … but your heart is still
broken.

You still know that life is good and that God has a plan for you … but your heart
is still broken.

You can pull out all the beautiful memories you have stored up through the years

and reminisce those happy times … but your heart is still broken.

I will live the rest of my life on earth with this broken heart, but I will do God’s will

and trust in Him … and I can do that with a broken heart.
